The Human Resources Representative with work closely with one of our local projects and have a heavy focus on recruiting and employee relations. HR Rep will also assist to determine appropriate human resources priorities in employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting & retention and compliance with all applicable federal, state & local laws.  

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Provide counsel/support to Management
  • Assist with employee development initiatives, including individual development plans, coaching, and talent review process
  • Ensure benefit programs are compliant and communicate change, awareness, and general and required announcements regarding plans
  • Work directly with department supervision to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters
  • Working with internal recruiters, is responsible for recruitment of exempt employees and provides guidance to projects/plants for non-exempt hiring
  • Participates in the review of operational business strategy and objectives to determine the implication on human resources objectives
  • Advise management of risks associated with current business practices and recommend improvements by providing expertise to management in local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Proactively make recommendations to improve HR operations and value added to business operations
  • Conduct training of human resources objectives to management including regulatory compliance training, policy and procedures training and corporate communication initiatives
  • Maintain communication with departments on all human resources related issues
  • Report recommendations and alternatives to human resources strategy to higher level managers
  • Assist with incident investigation and discipline
  • Assist with interpretation of employment law
  • Assist with coordinating EEO/AAP compliance efforts and audits
  • Assist with coordination and presentation of employee information meetings
  • Assist with any Special Projects as assigned by Manager
  • Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values
  • And other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year College or university, 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bilingual highly desired.
  • Excellent communication and diplomacy skills in dealing with all levels of employees
  • Innovative and creative approach to problem-solving, planning, and implementation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Work effectively in a team environment with all levels of our organization
  • Able and willing to travel to other business units
  • Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, and Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
