The Senior Buyer will be responsible for purchasing activities of assigned Purchase Requisitions, in compliance with Corporate and Project Procedures and under the supervision of the Purchasing Group Leader.
Including but not limited to:
Preparing bidder lists;
Analyzing commercial offers from suppliers;
Managing economic and contractual negotiations of orders and associated purchasing terms and conditions;
Issuing Purchase Orders and managing eventual reviews;
Supporting and cooperating with the Project Procurement Manager while developing and defining supplies in case of any commercial issues with suppliers (such as claims, changes of purchase requisitions, Liquidated Damages, etc.).
Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.
Other duties, as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent;
5-10 years of experience in similar role;
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market;
Excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills;
Knowledge of supplier or third-party management software;
Experience in collecting and analyzing data;
Proficient with Microsoft products and ERP systems, JDE preferred.
