Job Description

The Manager of Technical Projects will manage and execute on a wide variety of projects, across a number of functional areas. This person will work closely with teammates to provide support, collaboration, and strategic vision.



Including but not limited to:

  • Creates clear, milestone-based project plans to achieve project goals on schedule
  • Manages project communication, troubleshooting and problem solving;
  • Collaborates with a variety of departments, contributing to the development of new solutions that maximize gains while driving down costs;
  • Follow through on promises and directives (including meeting deadlines and/ or communicating to others as soon as he or she knows he or she is going to miss a deadline);
  • Overall responsibility for quality, and budget of projects that range in size and scope;
  • Directs and supervises work of project administration and all other project personnel to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships;
  • Manage external partners/consultants and consulting hours/budget, if applicable;
  • Establish/Define/Promote values, expectations, and performance standards for team and individual members in accordance with Lane’s mission, vision, and values;
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project (e.g. resources, schedule) to ensure complete solution is delivered on time and within budget;
  • Prepares cost and project documentation including project status reports;
  • Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.



  • Bachelor’s degree, PMI certification a plus;
  • Full cycle project management experience
  • Experience managing ERP systems related projects
  • 3 years demonstrated experience in managing/leading initiatives/projects;
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple assignments and responsibilities within deadlines;
  • Demonstrated interest in an aptitude for new technology solutions; ability to quickly adapt to new tools or techniques as necessary;
  • Strong analytical skills, networking and presentation skills;
  • Experience collaborating with internal groups and outside consultants, supervising process and maintaining integrity of organizational standards;
  • Experience developing customer-centric standards and solutions;
  • Excellent team building skills;
  • Positive attitude and great team player;
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings, interpret and translate information to teams and report effectively to management;
  • Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP;
  • Experience with Insight reporting software a plus;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PC skills
